South Lake Tahoe is one of the friendliest and most creative areas in the Tahoe Basin. Our vibrant community offers local small business and restaurants, as well as international cuisine. In SLT and crossing over Stateline into Nevada, you’ll find theatre, small and large music venues and bars, local markets, craft fairs and farmers markets, and many other spots that are off the beaten path. If the outdoors is your main attraction, its non-stop action. From hiking endless trails, rock climbing, water sports like fishing, SUP, jet skiing to snowsports in some of the best ski resorts in the world, SLT offers it all.

Wake.

Start every single morning with our favorite coffee from Black Cabin Coffee, either brewed right in your own kitchen via Breville Espresso Maker or French Press, or take a quick ride to the cafe on Pioneer Trail off Ski Run. Their team will hook you up with just the right amount of caffeine or yummy food to kick off an amazing stay.

The Hangar.

Drink.

South Lake Tahoe hangout life is fun and casual. You can watch the latest game and try some small-batch beers crafted by local breweries like The Hangar and Ale Worx - perfect after a day on the lake or slopes. If cocktails are your preferred poison, trendy mixology establishments, complete with plush couches and date night lighting and music, are peppered throughout the Stateline casino area.

Eat.

We believe that dining needn’t be expensive to be delicious. South Lake Tahoe and its surrounding towns boast some of the best casual dining and micro brews all at affordable prices. Those looking for a more posh vibe will be happy to know that Heavenly and Nevada’s casinos (Hard Rock, Harrah’s, Harvey’s) near Stateline is only 15 minutes away and offers incredible food and drink options.

Shop.

Our favorites for modern gifts and books are Cuppa Tahoe, Gaialicious, Wildwood Makers Market, and Tahoe Kids Trading Co. Check out the Shops at Heavenly Village for souvenirs of your stay in Tahoe, or the little local shops on Lake Tahoe Boulevard. We also have a shoppable, contactless in-cabin Külhaus Gift Shoppe filled with handcrafted goods from local small businesses without leaving the cabin!

Explore.

Just 2 blocks from the cabin are miles of BLM trails to explore and forest bathe. Besides watersports, snow sports, beach time, fishing and hiking are our favorite activities. Tahoe Mountain Loop is a 7.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail that features beautiful wild flowers and is perfect for hiking, bird watching, and mountain biking.
